You can do this by using custom product attributes inside your products in the back office of your Woocommerce store.

It may seem complicated, but truth to be told, it is an easy and straightforward procedure.

How to add a product description?

You probably have noticed that every international shipment in Outvio needs a content description. If you do not want to insert that description for each of your international orders manually, you should create an attribute called outvio_description and, later on, fill in the Value field with the preferred description. After that, you can be sure that the product will enter Outvio with a description of the content, and you will not have to enter it manually.

To add an attribute to the product, you firstly need to enter the product, click on Attributes, and then add a new custom product attribute (here you will be able to add the outvio_description attribute and fill in the field of Value with the preferred description).

How to add the HS code to the product?

When it comes to shipping outside of Europe, it is compulsory to add the HS code to the products. The HS code of the products must appear on the shipping invoice. As with the content description, you can add the HS code manually in Outvio, but it would be much more convenient if you add an attribute called outvio_hs_code in your Woocommerce shop. Later on, you fill in the value with the correct HS code. Keep in mind that, Outvio only considers the first 6 digits of the HS code.

How to tag products as non-returnable?

In case you have no wish to make all of your products automatically returnable through your returns portal, you can select the ones that are not returnable and tag all these products with an attribute called outvio_no_return. This way, when your customers access your returns portal, they will not be able to return those products.

As you can see, it is quite effortless to use custom product attributes in your Woocommerce store. We strongly recommend you to take advantage of that function, since, after all, it will save you a lot of time when you manage your shipments in Outvio.
