In most cases, the process of integrating Outvio with your CMS is effortless. But in the rare occasion when you run into an error during the integration process, we got your back! This is most relevant to Woocommerce, Prestashop or Magento due to them running on a server of your choice (unlike Shopify, Wix or Squarespace where you don't need to worry about the web hosting service).
This means that depending on how you have configured the server where your online store is hosted, Outvio may have problems integrating your CMS successfully with the application. See below how to tackle the most common issues when it comes to integrating your CMS.
❗️IMPORTANT: Re-installing the plugin
If you re-install plugin, you need to run the configuration in Outvio. This means that you will need to check each step inside the CMS integration to make sure that it is up to date.
🛠 The certificates of your domain are expired
In the second step of the integration you might receive the following message: "The URL of your shop is not valid". In general, this message refers to the fact that:
the online store has not been configured correctly
you have not previously installed and activated the Outvio plugin or module in your CMS
you simply do not have your online shop active yet.
However, this message can also mean that your domain's certificates have expired and need to be updated. In this case, we recommend you contact your technical team to look into the matter.
🔥 Your server is behind a firewall
If you manage to go through all the steps needed in the integration setup and just in the very end receive the message: "Something went wrong. Please try again later", then the real issue might be related to the firewall that prevents the integration to be completed. In this case, you should look through the firewall security rules and permit the data exchange between your CMS and Outvio. You should disable warnings related to the installed module/plugin.
📆 Your PHP version on your server does not match Outvio
The version of PHP running on your server must be between 7 and the latest support version of Outvio (you can find it in the CMS module documentation). It is likely that if you use an older PHP version, you will receive a message "Something went wrong. Please try again later". Please get in touch with your server administrator or your technical team and ask them to upgrade to PHP 7 or a newer version supported by Outvio.
🔌 Issues with 3rd party modules or plugins
If you have gone through all of these possible problem causes and still can't integrate your shop successfully with Outvio, check what kind of other plugins/modules you are using in your CMS. Some third-party modules are not compatible with the application, meaning that in this case, you should disable that module in your CMS.
