Courier and shipping method selection

In the Shipping queue tab (before printing out the label), you can choose and change the courier and shipping method manually, if necessary. However, if you have many shipments each month, automating your courier and shipping method selection can save you a lot of time and money.

There are several ways to do this in Outvio.

Map your shipping methods!

You can automate the courier selection independently of the plan you are using in Outvio. Even if you are on a Free plan, you can set the couriers you want to use by mapping them correctly in the "Integrations" section.

Open the integration with your CMS in Outvio, and match the shipping methods you offer in your online shop with the ones which are available in Outvio. As a result, when the orders appear in Outvio, the courier is selected automatically based on the mapping preferences.

This way you can map one or more couriers and shipping methods to each shipping method you have in the online store checkout.

When you are on the paid plan, you are allowed to integrate your own couriers. Depending on the plan you can integrate 4 (Grow), or as many couriers you wish (Conquer) with Outvio. Note that if you have uploaded your own rates and want Outvio to use only your couriers, you must indicate so in the "My couriers" section. After you integrate your own couriers, you have to update the courier mapping under Integrations.

Configure your smart shipping rules.

Clients on Grow and Conquer plan can specify their courier selection even more by setting up the smart rules in the Return and Stock rules section. This is an interesting and exceptional feature as it allows you to create many different rules based on different indicators.

For instance, you might want to ship to Portugal with a concrete courier. For that, you need to add criteria and action, meaning choosing Portugal as a destination and selecting the desired courier. From that moment on when you ship to Portugal, Outvio selects always the desired courier.

Keep in mind that you can duplicate the rules and make little changes if necessary. This is another way how you can save time. You can also activate and deactivate rules and change the order of them by simply dragging them to the desired direction. The rules will be applied in descending order (from top to bottom) and the first match found will be applied, meaning any other rule below that rule will not be applied.
