Posti is the main postal service in Finland, Outvio customers can use it in Estonia and Finland.

To locate Posti in Outvio, go to Settings > My Couriers and choose Posti from the list of couriers.

In order to unlock the settings, you will need to enter your account credentials with Posti. You will need to do the following:

  • Contract ID

  • API Key

  • Password

To receive your API key and other credentials, contact your account manager with Posti.

First, click on Shipping methods. Here you can select all the shipping methods you wish to enable for your customers. Click on Add shipping method to see the list.

If you wish to temporarily turn off the courier, toggle off Use Posti for shipping.

In Posti settings you can choose to use Order ID instead of OTN on the shipping labels.

In case you have more than one contract with Posti, you may set both a Courier Alias in other to differentiate the contracts.

In the Assigned warehouses sections, connect desired warehouses to the courier contract.

In the Surcharges section, the following options can be applied to all shipping methods:

  • Rate calculation

  • Cash on delivery

  • Insurance

  • Remote zone

  • Weight surcharge

  • Dimensions surcharge

  • Export duties

  • Fuel surcharge

These surcharges depend on your courier and you can add them based on your agreed terms with the courier. That way Outvio will apply most of them for rate calculation so that the system can decide which courier is the cheapest option for you.

❗️Things to note:

  • For 100% accuracy, you need to upload your shipping rates in the Shipping methods section

  • It is your responsibility to add the surcharges correctly, as well as update them if necessary if they change over time.

  • Fill out only those surcharges that apply to your contract.
