The Smart Notification Rules feature allows you to specify when and under what conditions you want to send notifications to your customers or carrier to save time on customer service and increase your sales!

How does it work?

You create a rule that sends a notification based on a condition and event, when these conditions are met, a notification will be sent to the client.

When can it be useful 🤔

Notification rules can be tailored to a variety of purposes, depending on your type of business and your priorities.

Below are some examples of use cases that can inspire you to increase your sales or reduce the workload on your customer service team:

  • 🛒Recurring purchases: you can set up an email to be sent for your consumable products 20, 30, 40 days after the order has been delivered, to remind your customers that they can make a purchase again in your store.

  • Carrier delays: you can set up rules to send notifications to your carriers when there is a delay in shipment automatically and receive their response as soon as possible to be prepared for any inquiry your customer may have.

  • 📈 Email marketing: you can configure your rule to send to customers who have placed an order of more than x € and send them a notification with a discount to thank them for their purchase and encourage them to place another order as soon as possible.

How to set it up🛠

Go to Settings > Hypernotifications and click to Set Up your first rule:

Once you are in, set up the following points: (the steps are similar to the return or shipping rules)

  • Name: Give a name to the rule to differentiate it from the others, once saved you will see it like this:

  • Event: Choose according to which event you want to send the notifications (when the order appears in Outvio/ the carrier has picked up the order/ the order is being delayed/ etc...).

    (later you can customize within which time period the notification will be sent after this event).

  • Conditions: You select the condition with which the rule will be triggered to send the notification (for example: if the order has a value greater than 100€, or the product is a consumable...). You have several options such as by customer, shipping method, product, etc.

  • Email, SMS, Whatsapp: Activate the means by which you want to send the notification (there can be several).

    *PS: If you select Whatsapp, you must have it previously configured in your account.

Once you activate any of these options you need to decide when and to whom you want to send the notification, you can send it to the customer or to the carrier (depending on the purpose of the message) and mark it to be sent immediately or after a certain predetermined time:

  • Immediately: notification is sent immediately when the associated event occurs.

  • After a certain number of hours or days: if you select this option you must specify the period of days or hours you want to be respected after the event before sending the notification.

Customize your templates✏️💬

Lastly, customize the template/s you want to send, clicking on the "Edit Whatsapp/ SMS/ Email" message will take you to the next page:

Select the language in which you want to customize your first template

Once the rule is saved, you can view and edit your templates created for each rule by clicking on View/Edit and activate and deactivate your rules in the toggle on the right:

Excellent! Now that you have set up your smart notification rules, you are ready to send them to your customers. You can activate or deactivate them according to your needs at any time.
