๐Ÿ”บIf you are currently using API, follow THESE STEPS

It only takes a couple of minutes to connect your Shopify account with Outvio - in this article, we will explain how. If you follow all the instructions and tips given here, you should not have any problems integrating your Shopify shop in Outvio.

โ—๏ธMake sure your Shopify account is active before you start integrating your Shopify shop in Outvio.

1. Go to Settings โ†’ Integrations โ†’ Shopify App

2. Click on "Install the Outvio APP here"

You will automatically be navigated to the Shopify App Store so you can add the APP to your Shopify account.

Once you are logged into your Shopify account, install the Outvio APP. You will then see a pop-up indicating whether you want to link your Shopify shop to an existing Outvio account or create a new Outvio account.

As you already have an Outvio account, please select "Link to existing account in Outvio" so you can log in to your account.

3. Complete the configuration

Once you are logged into your Outvio account, you can start configuring the integration and complete the steps 1 - 7

Step 1: Input the URL of your online shop

๐Ÿ‘‰ You must enter the URL of your online shop as follows:

Step 2: Map your Shopify Application Shipping Methods to the Shipping Methods available in your Outvio account

In this step you can match the shipping methods available in Shopify for your customers to the shipping methods available in Outvio. You can map each method from Shopify to more than one method in Outvio - in this case the cheapest rate will be applied if you have uploaded the rates or use Outvio rates.

๐Ÿ‘€ If you change or add new couriers/methods in Shopify or Outvio later on, you will need to come back to remap them.

You can also skip this step and always come back to map the methods later, as well as use the shipping rules or manual courier/method selection.

More information below:

Step 3: Map your Shopify Application Payment Methods to the Payment Methods available in Your Outvio account

Add the payment name you have in Shopify and match it with the options in Outvio. This is related to:

  • cash on delivery payments, so you know which method to choose to collect the payment from the customer

  • to filter and see what payment method was chosen, for example, for customer support related queries

Step 4: Map Shopify Application's status to Outvio Payment Statuses

In Step 5 you will need to choose which orders and statuses you wish to import, therefore it's important to know which orders you consider to have as paid and wish to import.

Usually, we suggest to keep "The payments have been paid" in the "PAID" tab and select all the rest in the "NOT PAID" one.

Step 5: Select what order status in Shopify Application automatically sends your orders to Outvio

Orders with the checked statuses will be automatically sent to Outvio for processing. This allows you to only send for processing those orders with a certain status, while waiting on others until their status changes.

We suggest to keep "The payments have been paid", so you are sure to ship the orders that have been paid to avoid any confusion.

Step 6: Miscellaneous settings

๐Ÿ“Default customer email address - this email will be used for courier notifications if the customer hasn't provided the email
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Choose what to send as tracking number to Shopify - keep it by default
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Send notification email when status changes - tick the box if you wish to send Shopify emails instead of Outvio emails
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Import orders from - select the date from which you wish to import the orders from Shopify to Outvio
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Default order shipment description - it is mandatory to have a shipment description for international orders. In case you don't have it set in Shopify, you can add a default description that will be shown on the shipping label

Step 7: Map your Shopify Application fulfilment locations to the Warehouses available in your Outvio account

You can match the locations you have in Shopify to the corresponding warehouses in Outvio. This is to mark in Shopify which warehouse the order was sent from and help with stock management.

Step 8: Finalise the integration

Once you reach step 7, you have completed the integration. Orders that come in after the integration is complete will be synchronised with Outvio.

Well done! ๐ŸŽ‰
